@UndercoverIndy Hiwatt has a great punch with a lot of bottom. You have to complement with external distortion if you want to rock it out.

Yep they did their own thing and are not clones of any other manufacturer's designs that I'm aware of. I'm not all that familiar with them, so if you have something to add about their design I'm all ears. =)

There is a reason for that. Les Paul players prefer Marshall amps because they deliver natural compression when paired with Humbucker Pups. They offer aggressive muscular distorted crunchy tones . Fender amps are generally preferred for their clear, dynamic, and warm clean tones while using a pedal to manage distortion and overdrive. =)
