Zayne saying “I love you” for the first time when you’re having a snowball fight during the first winter snow in Linkon. He couldn’t help the way it had slipped off of his tongue so naturally. You were giggling, laughing at how the snowball you threw had burst across his chest, gracing his nose and lashes with specks of white fluff. The white sheet that covered the ground casted a soft glow on your skin in the moonlight and you just looked so…beautiful. His heart had swelled in his chest, a realization of how lucky he truly felt that you were here, happy, healthy, and entirely his. “Zayne?” Your laughter faded off, swallowed by the silence of the city that was being doused in inch after inch of white. Soft, panted breaths exhaled through your lips, billowing into light clouds of steam in the night. “What’s wrong? Why’d you stop?” A brief pause enveloped you, a bit of concern welling in your chest as you took a step towards him. “I love you.” His words, barely above a whisper stopped you in your tracks. The faintest of smiles graced his features, softening his appearance as he stared back at you with adoration in his eyes. “What?” At first, you were unsure if you had heard him properly and it must have shown on your expression as he continued. “I love you.” He speaks louder, gradually beginning a walk towards you. Snowflakes descend onto his head, decorating his dark locks with specks of white. “Do I need to say it again? Perhaps louder this time? I don’t mind if so. I don’t mind saying it to you repeatedly so long as I get to see the expression you’re making right now each time.”
