Thank you @splitkb! My new babies are here. Now to figure out wat to put them in! P. S. The Stroopwafel may be the reason I order from you in the future...
@kroustou Yay! :) I think you haven't removed the protective foil off the case yet, it'll keep scratch free for longer but you might want to take it off to reveal the case underneath :)
@ironedfish Hi! I still have to make the announcement, but yes, I finally got my registration finished this week, so I'll be able to ship to the UK again :)
@ScienceLoverDre@splitkb thank you so much!
I cannot stress enough how user-friendly @splitkb made the whole experience for an utter newbie like myself, between their thorough docs and their responsive and knowledgeable Discord server. it was really, really cool.
Over here kvelling over my 1st ever #MechanicalKeyboard build, an ergonomic, column-staggered, split keyboard from @splitkb (their "Kyria" design).
I soldered the whole thing myself. 1st time touching a soldering iron. Couldn't be more proud.
@zoranzaric Hi Zoran! I'm working on reordering the Chocs. I don't have an estimate at the moment, but I'm hoping they'll get in either by the end of December, or else in January. Thanks you for reaching out!
@splitkb Hi there, I wanted to know if the splitkb pcb design is open sourced? Or is the only way to get the board is by ordering on your site? Thanks.
@Shpigford@SamyDindane It takes a bit of getting used to, what with the layers, but once you've done away with the number row you won't want to go back :) Let me know if you need any resources!
@splitkb Question: so if I remove the extra unnecessary pin on the choc v2 switches, sand the holes in the pcb to be a little bit larger - would that make themfit the pcb? Yes - I'm crazy.
@splitkb have you seen this? low-profile kailh with mx-stem. youtube.com/watch?v=xG2xpW…
Guess it would be awesome if you could update Kyria to be compatible with those also.
Please...?
