@GergelyOrosz I have done in the past. It sucks, do you have a better proposal? Usually the source of the problem doesn’t want to communicate either.
We saw cases of platform abuse, and the ban one of the best way to keep the system stable in such situation.

This is just SO typical Google
Engineers inside the company get inconvenienced but something - eg a spike in usage
So they just silently ban paying users, deserved or not
No communicating with the or the source of the problem (eg OpenClaw)
This is why Google is hard to trust

We’ve been seeing a massive increase in malicious usage of the Anitgravity backend that has tremendously degraded the quality of service for our users. We needed to find a path to quickly shut off access to these users that are not using the product as intended. We understand that a subset of these users were not aware that this was against our ToS and will get a path for them to come back on but we have limited capacity and want to be fair to our actual users.

@GergelyOrosz No, they wouldn’t. If something works for Google, it doesn’t mean it would work for you (the fact was stated multiple times). The main difficulty is Google has Monroe, most of the industry doesn’t.

So interesting to keep learning how Google's tooling is SO different to the rest of the industry.
IDE: most of the industry uses VS Code, or Jetbrains or something similar.
Many (most?) devs at Google use a tool called Cider: deeply intergrated with Google's services

@PiotrKafel Hinestly, assigning None to reset the value was always confusing for me as well. I asked the proto team about it, but seems like there is no way back now. Sorry :)
The trouble is that resetting value and setting 0 produce different serialization.

Today I spent almost an hour trying to figure out weird behaviour of code. At the end it boiled down to understanding why
pricing = ProtoPricing(x=None)
print(pricing.x is None)
always prints False. Thats apparently Protocol Buffers feature! 🤦🏻♂️

@PiotrKafel In Python binding setting to None is equivalent to resetting the value.

@PiotrKafel Does the type annotation do the generated code actually return any Optional? IIRC, the longer should be able to tell that the property always returns a value and there is no way to compare it to None.
If you take a look in C++ generated code, it’s never nullable.

@PiotrKafel I find it hard for people to write documentation, when engineers explicitly have been told by their managers not to write any documentation. But, I agree with your statement in general :)

I don't have much sympathy for engineers who claim they don't have time to write documentation.
