i actually think “surface-level” friendships are very healthy. not everyone in your life has to be your ride-or-die. some friends are for the gym. some friends are for church. some are just for complaining about work or bureaucracy. when you stop expecting everyone to be your everything, the disappointment disappears. the deep conversations are for the 2–3 people closest to you.

easy. i don’t play around in the gym. i normally set a timer and try to beat the clock each time. i couldn’t imgaineeeee spending 2hrs in the gym.

You know what is so fascinating to me?
Memphis and Birmingham are the two major cities that have been left out of the Sun Belt’s ongoing boom. Both cities remind me of Rust Belt cities that have struggled or are on the decline. Something I’ll come back to in the future.
