@theDOMdotCOM I have no sense of time, but I think it might've been in 2020? In any case, CNET summarizes a few of the issues here: cnet.com/home/kitchen-a…. Basically, dryer sheets can reduce clothes' durability and absorbency in towels. Vinegar and/or dryer balls are popular alternatives.

Honestly, the fact that I say things like “wear your clothes as long as possible, wash them properly, don’t overuse laundry detergent, don’t use dryer sheets, don’t do hauls,” and ppl will still scream shows the real issue - for a lot of folks - is not wanting to change ANYTHING.

@lingerie_addict Off-topic, but I don't think I thanked you at the time for the tweet about dryer sheets! I had no idea they did harm, but I convinced my household to eliminate them. (I continue to work towards more sustainable choices, too, but just wanted to say a big thank you!)
