It doesn’t matter what the current logos are for all the Magic Kingdom lands. These are the definitive logos. If you recognize them, you clearly have a relationship with a certain time in Disney World history. Bonus points if you know where these logos could be found.

Did you know that the finale of Spaceship Earth was originally way more elaborate? Besides the trapped astronaut we talked about yesterday (check her out!), there were satellites, spacewalkers, robotic arms, and even more! Seriously, does ANYONE remember?

Busy but impressive is the logo for Disney’s America, a seasonal park that would have been located in the North East. After 2 1/2 attempts TWDC abandoned their plans. The story behind the plans is an interesting chapter in Disney Parks history. #DisneyUnpacked

Maybe you’ve heard of concealed VIP hangouts sprinkled throughout Disney? For example Club 33 was once top secret but is now on many fans bucket lists. A newer lounge quietly opened hidden in Galaxy’s Edge. Notable guests slip down an unmarked corridor emerging transported to a world of opulent luxury! Ok, it’s more like a mid-level airport lounge but still. We present to you the obscure HPE Corporate Lounge. A nice place to rest, grab a snack or admire the array of light sabers on display. It offers snacks and free Cokes, but you can’t even buy your way in, it’s for Hewlett Packard employees only.

Are kids slowly losing the opportunity to explore at Disney? Everything is so prescribed now. Even before its recently announced closure, Tom Sawyer Island had long ago removed unique (litigious?) elements like the “Fidgety Ledge” teeter totter where kids could burn off energy.
