@tomekdev_

I connect humans and machines. Thinking about interfaces a lot. Working on https://t.co/sO1cs7C6B9 | Principal Engineer at Phorest. A bit nerdy 🤓

Apparently @getsentry is also in a wagon of "Your summary of the year", and they say I loved the "Issues" page the most. I think that's an overstatement if you ask me 😛

Preparing a very subtle change on my blog while working on a new post. The CSS code marker matches the color with CSS' official logo 😅 🎉 Small details folks, small details 👌

This is also the time you have to summon your inner Sherlock🕵️🏼 to find out this year's host city. We'll tell you in about 2 weeks, so let the guessing game begin!

@baaz Oh yeah, I feel the pain 😅 It's very hard to iterate on images. It often generates completely new scenes with objects that you beg it to not put on the image. I remember Midjourney was slightly better because you could generate variants of a variant.

I'm having a hard time generating images with Dall-E but at least it's giving me a good laugh. A thread 🧶

Entrepreneurs: Do you think having a spouse or partner is better for being an entrepreneur? Or being is being single? I've heard a couple single people say they want to get successful before they settle down w/ relationships. Curious to hear your takes

@still_runspired @OngDevLab True. Anything having "function" in the name would be better. An edge function sounds good if it's actually distributed in a decent amount of regions around the world 👌

@still_runspired > Now it’s comfortable simply cause it’s what is known, not what is good. I think this is the key among JSX zealots. They just didn't spend enough time with alternatives.

@DanKulkov Rockstar economy? or the most successful indie-hackers are actually selling shovels in the gold rush? 🤔

You either die a $300/mo micro-SaaS indie hacker or Live long enough to see yourself earning $50,000/mo from MVP as a service and SaaS boilerplate

@DanKulkov Exactly. So say, you work full time on those 10+ products in a man-month (21 days)... which gives you 2 days per product. Isn't it a bit too low to make a difference?

"I am working on 10+ products at the same time" Stop lying. Checking website analytics != working on your product You have a portfolio of half-baked MVPs that no one is using. Maybe stop shipping crap in days and actually build something useful?

🎉 The @TC39 signals proposal advances to Stage 1! There is still a ton of validation and exploration to do and questions to document and find answers to, but this is super exciting! ✨ github.com/proposal-signa…

@CFDevelop Grand, people got used to SSOs but there are still rebels that don't want to over-rely on the big tech. And I understand them. I respect them 🧡

Does your app really need username and password sign-in in 2024? Why not just use social sign-ins like Google, Apple and Microsoft?

@janetacarr It depends. If "reorganizational refactoring" is done just for the sake of it, then I could agree. But a good reorganizational refactor that prepends the actual work and makes it better, easier to understand and review is very important.

As far as I can tell, “refactoring code” is almost always hubris and a waste of dev time
