We leven in oorlogstijd. Niks mis met tegenstrijdige meningen. Dol op andermans standpunt. De realiteit stribbelt altijd tegen. Hoort ook zo. RT≠👍. Pronoun: u.

Princess Fatemeh Khanum "Esmat al-Dowleh", a prominent member of the royal Qajar dynasty in 19th Century Persia... She was a princess of the Persian royal family and the daughter of Nasser al-Din Shah. In 19th-century Persia, facial hair on women, such as a mustache, was considered a symbol of beauty and distinction among the upper class. While popular internet memes have sometimes misidentified the individual in such images or created false narratives, this photograph is a genuine historical portrait of a Qajar princess. As widely circulated online claim that she was considered the "ultimate symbol of beauty" in Qajar Persia, so much that thirteen suitors killed themselves upon her rejection, has been disproven. Her life and image provide insights into the royal fashions, social structures, and aesthetic standards of the Qajar court during that era. © Reddit #drthehistories

I like Ibrahim Traoré. But. The World Bank just approved a $215.9M Burkina Faso Agricultural Transformation Project on March 10, 2026, for rice/maize value chains, productivity, processing & markets to boost food security. Traoré's junta often rails against Western influence (e.g. expelling French troops) but accepts IDA funding from WB/IMF while pursuing ties with Russia/China. x.com/grok/status/20…

Throughout the centuries Islam achieved very little scientifically. Of course there was Golden Age of islam (750-1258), with small numbers of scholars, in centers like Baghdad, Cordoba, Fez, Cairo, and Samarkand. Unfortunately, dogmatic Islam completely suffocated this flourishing period, to create eternal intellectual stagnation. At present islam is far behind in science, technology or innovation. They can't even make cars, planes, software or new medicines. Not even matches.

🚨What Schools Won’t Teach You! Al-Idrisi (1100-1165 CE) created the most accurate world map of the medieval era. His Tabula Rogeriana shaped global geography for centuries. Another legend of the Islamic Golden Age the world forgot.

Mono-culture farming devastates the rest of nature. Farmlands continue to lose much of their wildlife, bees, birds, insects, amphibians. But each generation measures "normal" nature against what existed in their childhood; not what existed before. So we don't mourn the Auroch, Quagga, Eastern Elk, or drained wetland. We never knew them. We each inherit a slightly emptier world & call it normal, a shifting baseline syndrome. Humans are remarkably adaptive... dangerously so.

The Muslim Scholar Behind the Word "Algorithm" Every time you search. Every time Al recommends something. Every time you open an app. You're using his invention. The word "algorithm" comes from the name of a Muslim scholar: Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi.

Mahama at the UN: "The transatlantic slave trade was the gravest crime against humanity." Huh? Pre-colonial Ghana alone had 63 slave markets. And slavery in Ghana continues until today. I've seen it myself. Africans captured, enslaved and exploited other Africans for over a thousand years, in huge numbers. In Ghana the perpetrators were especially the Ashanti, Fante and Ga-Adangbe. The immensely rich Ashanti-king (picture) never apologised nor paid reparations. And there were annual human sacrifices in their capital Kumasi.

The Ishango bone is "possibly" a mathematical device, a socalled tally stick. But the scratches might have been made to create a better grip on the handle of some instrument. If it really is an "advanced mathematical tool", then show me other evidence in technology, architecture, agriculture, mathematics, trade, book-keeping or astronomy, made possible by this "sophisticated calculator".
