I was just a baby so this is second hand knowledge, but my family claims my brother didn’t speak til he was almost 6. And he said “can you pass the ketchup please” startled my mother asked him why he’s never spoken before and he said “everything has been right until now”

my daughter never spoke a full sentence until today. she was holding some toy ducks and said "how many ducks do I have?" and then "hi, my name is joanie" and she's been talking normally in full sentences the rest of the day. it's like she just powered on and realized she's alive

You cannot go anyhwere in the US anymore without feeling taking advantage of. Every restaurant, every lease agreement, every purchase. Everything is so blatantly predatory. Like they don't even care to be subtle about the fact that they're operating in bad faith.
And we're all just submissive to it
