This morning I was told to do corner time in the cellar, the first time this year I have been sent down there. Thirty minutes naked, nose and toes pressed to the cold rough stone wall with the lights off. The temperature was around 15 C, not as cold as I had feared.

@Calum62691509 @BulgeChav I can't honestly say that I like writing lines, but I know that it does me good and improves my behaviour. In any case I've written thousands of them and I'm still doing it, so I suppose it must somehow satisfy me. Keep at it my friend.

@JamesMelville Yes, at the English CofE primary school I went to in the 60's, boys aged 5 to 11 got the cane on the hands or the backside quire regularly. The Headmaster's son, a friend of mine, told me he got it frequently at home too.
