@ftenergy@gork I can't remember, did you predict this? I think the world is going to be nonchalant, Im sure no effects from the war are impacting the globe because each country depends on itself right?
@ftenergy It's not
I bought 90 cubic metres of firewood - 2,000 litres of diesel for my little Honda generator and enough Barolo and Habanos to last me until 2029.
Now I need to buy guitar strings and a few legs of Jamon Iberico and a couple of wheels of Parmesan.
UK petrol prices just hit 18-month highs. CE card data shows the impact won't be felt evenly — customers of Greggs, KFC, Burger King, Asda, and JD Sports allocate the highest share of wallet to fuel. Wetherspoons over-exposed; Pret and Caffe Nero less so. The geographic and income skew explains the exposure.
@ftenergy Now that Iran is wiping out gulf state oil and gas facilities, a worst case scenario will unfold for all. *Israel forced them to do this by attacking Iran's gas and oil facilities. This is very bad.
@ftenergy The oil mess is worse than the headline

$NRG: $5.3B PE exit
$CRC: $217M (California)
They filed the exits. Then Kharg Island was struck. Then Brent hit $112.

@ftenergy Yes, well, perhaps the so-called “leader of the free world” is simply unfit to lead it. After all, it is leading the free world into economic disaster, is it not? Perhaps the free world should reject this “leader” and find one that isn’t, you know, insane and dangerous?
@ftenergy * US is having an energy export boom to countries around the World - the largest exporter of oil and gas.
* TRUMP-US has the greatest GDP in Earth history.
US $51T ($31T +$20T TRUMP tariff deals)

@ftenergy Maybe time we all ditch the cars and leave O & G for major transport of essentials like food, water, heating, etc. until we can find away to minimize our dependence of fossil fuels?
