Did the Israeli air force actually go rogue in bombing the Iranian oil field?  Seriously?  How is that even possible, given our massive presence there and interlocking nature of these strikes between the two air forces.  The Iranian regime responded by attacking Qatar's oil production.   That likely became a problem but not much of one.  I think there's more here than meets the eye, but it really doesn't matter.  It's inconsequential to the overall mission and endgame -- the elimination of the Iranian regime.

@marklevinshow Yes, there is. You are exploiting your goodwill and reputation to sow suspicion that Iran bombed itself, despite having no air force. Your act as Sherlock Holmes in this context is a great signal for the MAGA community. Now they all can act like detectives.

@marklevinshow Let’s focus on the regime leadership and military to pave the way for people: this gas field didn’t have any military value. Even the US is giving Iran permission today to sell floating tankers to balance the market.

@marklevinshow They didn't go rogue. Trump gave them the freedom to go after targets they deemed threatening. They didn't go after the gas field, they went after targets close to it, and it spilled over a little. Trump just wanted in make sure they were still on the same page .

@marklevinshow It accomplished several things 1- it showed they can still fire at targets and do damage 2- it raised the costs in near and intermediate term as qatar lng sig hit. 3- on more positive side it united Arab countries against Iran regime.

@marklevinshow No way they went rogue. Given the amount of military air traffic, their attack aircraft would have popped up on multiple radars.

@marklevinshow @munchymarks Israel attacked fields that produce energy for internal Iran / IRGC, not export. To weaken IRGC. It was absolutely coordinated with the U.S.

Complex military missions are always risky. I would not read too much into it. Human error is the most likely reason. It's critical for Iran’s future NOT to destroy the oil and gas infrastructure. Otherwise, it will have a larger adverse impact on the new administration to quickly ramp up the already damaged economy. #ThankYouTrump#ThankYouBiBi#KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran

@marklevinshow rogue actions are unlikely in tightly coordinated operations but dismissing escalation as inconsequential is risky. in conflicts like this second-order effects often shape the endgame more than initial strikes

@marklevinshow Please be mindful of Iran’s natural resources! They are the future of Iranians who are suffering in poverty and oppression, and frankly the world needs them too! I know we are in war, and I 100% support this war, but there must be alternative, more conservative ways to harm IRGC

It was a strategic attack to cut their financial relations. Iran fell right into the trap by attacking their now 'former' financial partner even though they and the US didn't have any involvement. Imagine your friends with some one in a fight that you want to stay out of. Then at some point your 'friend' attacks you.

@marklevinshow Israel media says Trump was 100% aware and approved. But Qatar started to complain so he threw on on Israel. Not that Israel care too much about Qatar's complaints. That's what friends do. Ugly move by Trump though. Own it.

@marklevinshow You know very well: 1. Israel doesn't do anything without direct approval. (Especially a strike as consequential as that). 2. The President is throwing Israel under the bus. 3. We're totally fine with it. We're blamed for everything anyway. So why burden Trump ? 😉
