Paddack looked really good. More confident and the performance reflected it. Better control of the strike zone and more authoritative with his pitches. At least one of those hits were bad luck and our outlook on his overall performance would be very different if that Norby error hadn’t happened. I think this will be much more successful than it was when we did it with Cal Quantrill.

I want to say that it is STUPID to start your closer for two reasons….. One - starters have their own preperation and superstitions when starting a game Two - closers LOVE high leverage outings! They do not SET THE TABLE they clean up dessert trays! I am Happy for Peter and his family. He could have pitched a bullpen session, and flew home earlier today. There was NO REASON to do this.
