Somalia further warned that such developments could exacerbate instability in the Horn of Africa and the wider Red Sea region, both of which are already facing heightened security challenges. The delegation also raised broader geopolitical concerns, referring to what it described as wider patterns of displacement-related policies affecting #Palestinians, and warned against any demographic or territorial changes under such pretexts. It said the developments reflect a broader erosion of international law, continued impunity, and a lack of political will to resolve long-standing conflicts at their root causes. Israeli authorities have not publicly responded to the specific allegations raised during the Security Council session. The remarks came during ongoing discussions at the Security Council on escalating geopolitical tensions and their implications for international peace and security.
