@Spikearoonie @SethAbramson @joncoopertweets Slow down there. As a new citizen, i fully appreciate the attention given to DC and support the upgrades. After seeing how poor they were before.
English

@SethAbramson @joncoopertweets That dumb sonofabitch has to be stopped.
He’s fucking up the whole damn city, crapping on tradition, pissing on our country, and killing democracy. Meanwhile the 119th Congress acts more like the 1933 Reichstag. We have the numbers to defeat him. We need to find the will. 🇺🇸
English

@SethAbramson As a newly minted citizen, I say yes! 👏
English

@paulmurphy68 Except for Northern Ireland. That’s British. Infact the entire island of Ireland is British.
English

No part of Ireland is British, that's a simple geographical fact.

Just like Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands are BRITISH! 🇬🇧

@gregnacu Hard disk drive support… virtual support for large partitions or IDE64 support

@DylanSmythUK Then vote out Starmer before he gives away anymore territory

@VickyRichterUSA Where is this patriotism over Gibraltar and Chagos?

Hands Off the Falklands, Donald
Nothing says “leader of the free world” quite like threatening Britain’s closest ally status by flirting with Argentina’s claim to the Falklands because London would not salute every foreign-policy whim on command.
Reports that Washington reviewed support for Argentine sovereignty claims as leverage against the UK should outrage anyone who still believes alliances are built on principle rather than tantrums. The Falklands are British because the islanders overwhelmingly chose to remain British. In 2013, 99.8 per cent voted to stay a British Overseas Territory. That is called self-determination — unless, apparently, it becomes inconvenient.
Even Sir Keir Starmer, hardly known as a chest-thumping imperial romantic, had to state the obvious: sovereignty rests with the UK and the islanders’ wishes are paramount. Quite right too.
Veterans were blunter. They called it bullying. Fair description. Men fought and died in 1982 to defend those islands from invasion. Many still carry the scars. To use their sacrifice as a bargaining chip in some diplomatic sulk is not strategic genius. It is graceless politics.
And what exactly is the message here? Support every American military venture or Washington may suddenly rediscover sympathy for rival territorial claims? Charming. One imagines allies across Europe sleeping much easier.
The irony is rich. America lectures the world on democracy, then toys with disregarding the clear democratic will of Falkland Islanders because Downing Street was insufficiently enthusiastic elsewhere.
The Falklands are not a poker chip, not a punishment tool, and certainly not a stage prop for anyone’s ego. They are home to British people who made their choice.
Hands off the Falklands. Some things are not negotiable.

English

@RambleAndPint @SwareyDavid Sorry, the the UK military isn’t what it once
Was.
English

@SwareyDavid How have you come to possess the notion that we have "no military", my severely balding Yank friend?
English

@penkalaa1 @Ribaldo59 @C_McMitchell @WarMonitor3 You mean the French don’t you? They armed Argentina.
English

@Ribaldo59 @C_McMitchell @WarMonitor3 Sure, you dog Israel armed Argentina during this war declassifieduk.org/how-israel-sec…
English

@C_McMitchell @WarMonitor3 Unfortunately, with what? UK is poorer than the poorest state in the U.S. UK can’t project power anymore.
English

@WarMonitor3 We destroyed them then, we'll destroy them now.
English

@JamesBriscoe1 @Dgingsz @ScottMGreer Only a temporary situation. UK is now poorer than the poorest state in the USA. Living standards have fallen over the last 40years and Argentina is a booming economy. In the next 10 years, Argentina will be a force to be reckoned with.
English

@Dgingsz @ScottMGreer They are welcome to try and let’s see what happens. The Falklands is far more militarised than it was in 1982 and Argentina’s military is far weaker
English

Dumb. The British easily won the war over it and Falklanders want to stay with the UK. It’s British territory

English

@JamesBriscoe1 @BuffaloCompact @ScottMGreer There are more immigrant Muslims in the UK than the entire population of Wales. Think on that.
English

@JamesBriscoe1 @ScottMGreer Would that include Starmer? He’d more than happy to hand them back if the UN put pressure on him
English

@ScottMGreer Patriot, anyone who doesn’t back British sovereignty over the Falklands is a third-worldist
English

@Courage69861986 @ScottMGreer That will be good news for the Turks. They are more than happy to occupy the rest of the country today.
English

@ScottMGreer The citizens of Cyprus don’t want two British bases on their island. Since we’re asking the citizens now.

English

@ScottMGreer 40 years ago…
Today with UN pressure, Starmer will hand them over before another war… UK is only a shadow of the power it used to project.
English

@JMilei No, there were Spanish long before Argentina existed. They were NEVER Argentina. Never.
English

@BrigitteOhNo Unfortunately decades of weak leadership in the UK has bullied the UK into submission. This is a tit of tat geopolitical stance of Gibraltar and Chagos islands.
English

If we lose the Falklands we need to kick every single US service person and their family out of this country and our sovereign areas.

Falklands is a pressure point for the UK – and the US knows it bbc.in/4vQ9q46

What are you talking about - the USA has broken Russia influence; Syria, Venezuela, Iran and Cuba. Russian allies are dropping like flies, military exports gone! In the process USA has blunted Chinese influence. All while the EU debates what to do in Ukraine - the USA is the only country fighting Russia internationally. Instead of recognizing USA, you complain the USA is doing nothing for the Ukraine and a puppet of Putin. You’re an absolute hypocrite and ignorant of what is happening around you - Germany & Austria still uses Russian energy, France still uses Russia to reprocess nuclear materials. If you want to help Ukraine, get the EU to put troops on the ground and fight. While the USA is fighting Russia internationally
English

@GlobalUpdates24 Trump has been grooming his gullible MAGA cult to treat the USA’s closest neighbours and oldest allies as enemies since his first term although I can’t think why.

English

@GlobalUpdates24 Sadly the UK is shamed into flying the patriot flags of the UK…. It takes a foreigner to bring out the best of British
English

No sorry. This is a failure of the UK to retain its international sovereignty: Gibraltar, Chagos Island. Sharks have smelt blood in the water and the UK is oblivious. Either the UK steps up international or just melts away into the background…. Look at how Spain had to give up its sovereignty to the UN in the 50’s-80’s.
English

The US position on the Falklands is a real betrayal when you consider the wars Britain has joined them in for the last 40 years
