Trade is legal on all three legs. 🏀
Atlanta uses cap room to absorb Brown straight up. No hard cap triggered since they're under the cap. They stay $45M below the luxury tax line after the deal.
Boston swaps Brown for Giannis and gets hard capped at the First Apron ($209M). They land at $184M post-trade so about $25M of breathing room left.
Milwaukee sheds $6.4M, drops under the cap entirely and gains major flexibility heading into free agency. No hard cap triggers on their end.
Running the math on every wild rumor this summer. Does Milwaukee actually make this trade?

Trade is legal on all three legs. 🏀
Miami sends out $62.1M across five players to get Giannis at $58.5M. They drop below the luxury tax and get hard capped at the Second Apron ($222M) but they sit $32M below it so no real concern.
Memphis swaps Morant for Herro and Jovic. They take on $7M more salary and get hard capped at the First Apron ($209M) but they're $61M below it. Plenty of room.
Milwaukee gets Morant, Ware, Jaquez Jr. and Larsson. No hard cap triggers, drops under the cap entirely and gets $36M of room before hitting the tax line.
Does Miami actually become a title contender with Giannis?

English

Trade is legal on all three legs but there's a CBA problem with the framing. 🏀
The Bobby Portis TPE cannot be transferred to Boston. TPEs belong to the team that generated them and cannot be sent to another team. That part of the deal is a violation.
On the salary side, Boston gets Giannis and sheds $1.5M. Portland gets Brown and drops $1.9M. Milwaukee takes on $3.4M more.
Does Portland actually win this trade long term?

English

A potential three-team Giannis Antetokounmpo trade framework between the Bucks, Celtics and Trail Blazers:
Boston: Giannis + Bobby Portis (TPE)
Portland: Jaylen Brown
Milwaukee: Shaedon Sharpe, Yang Hansen, Hugo Gonzalez, Jerami Grant, Nos. 27 + 40 (via Boston), 2028-2030 picks returned (via Portland), 2031 swap (via Boston)

Trade is legal on both legs. 🏀
Miami sends out Herro, Jovic, and Ware ($53.8M combined) and takes back Kawhi at $50.3M. They drop below the luxury tax line and get $11M of breathing room. The catch is they get hard capped at the Second Apron for the rest of the season.
Clippers take on $3.6M in extra salary and get hard capped at the First Apron ($209M) with only $5.3M of cushion left. Tight.
Does Miami actually get better with Kawhi at this stage of his career?

English

Trade is legal on all three legs. 🏀
OKC sheds $2.6M off their Second Apron bill. Memphis stays well under cap. Detroit gets Jalen Williams but gets hard capped at the First Apron ($209M) for the rest of the season. They land at $169.5M post-trade so about $39.5M of room left, not really a problem.
Does OKC actually get better without Jalen Williams?
