I’m not saying it’s true but the name has a strong cultural connection in Mozambique because of history and language.
Mozambique was a Portuguese colony, and Portuguese is still its official language today. Jacinta is a Portuguese name, so it became common in Mozambique through that colonial and linguistic influence.
