You do not need to use less AI. You need to know which thinking is worth keeping for yourself. Most people have never once asked the question.

A calculator took our arithmetic and we lost nothing. AI takes our judgment. That is not the same trade, and pretending it is may be the most expensive mistake of the decade.

I still use AI every day. This is not a put-the-tools-down argument. It is one question, in the half second before you reach for the machine: Is this a difficulty I should keep? Answer that, and you stay the author of your own mind.

SAFE to give away: remembering a number, spelling, arithmetic. You lose nothing real. NOT safe: forming your own opinion, sitting with a hard problem, building judgment. Give these away again and again and the muscle thins. Most things live in the messy middle.

I build AI for a living. It made me sharper and emptier in the same week, with the same tool. The difference is the thing almost no one is talking about. 🧵

Two things that scare me more than my own habits: Kids may never BUILD the muscle, not just lose it. And if we all run our thoughts through the same few models, our thinking slowly converges. The strange ideas, where progress comes from, get smoothed away.

The fix is not less AI. It is useful difficulty. Keep some hard thinking on purpose, because the effort is what keeps the mind alive. Like taking the stairs when the lift is right there. I let AI attack my argument. I write the argument first.

Why does it thin? Because the skill was never separate from the doing. We already know this. We remember less when we know we can look it up (the "Google effect"). Pilots and doctors who lean too hard on automation lose the skill, exactly when they need it most.

@rackSpreader1 Never trying...is worse. U can give up once you realise that your assumptions were wrong. But never trying is worse because you never validated.

@_JaspreetK_ Creating a mvp or a toy project is one thing... But having an responsible app or website with 100s and millions of users is another.

Hey developers 🤗💓 Is it still worth it learning how to code in 2026 AI generation 🤔 If no : then why do companies have coding round ...and then in the final round they ask about projects ...which matters is the final project they need not coding.... Then yyyyy the hell do we have to fuck our minds in learning dsa 😭😭😭....completing leetcode problems. Why we are not taught how to make projects ....which is actually the final demand 😭 If yes : I don't have anything to say then 🙂, i have to do it then 😭
