Him not wanting to buy gifts for her children while he's buying something for his child; and they're married is a very huge statement and will eventually destroy their marriage. She gave him a taste of his own medicine using the child as a pawn. It was effective but cruel to his child and not very well done. Nevertheless, the point was made and she made a valid point. If there relationship survives, he will have to step up his game and be more fair and just to all of the children.
