@LA_citizenz @jackharlow That phrase alone, I would, but when I watched it in its entirety within the context of the question(to me) he was referencing his music. I didn’t see it as him saying he was personally becoming black. He said he loves black music and wants to lean into it with his sound.

Ain’t tweeted in almost 2 yrs, but kept getting a video of @jackharlow saying he “got more black” Saw the outrage, then watched the video with the question & answer. And I find the outrage…weird. He’s saying his music is leaning into blackness….and that’s bad?

So a young white rapper, who before fame & after, has chosen to embrace black culture, provide opportunities for his young black friends, support black women, &publicly say where his contemporaries are leaning into white spaces, he choosing to lean into black culture…is bad?

I don’t know Jack, but from what I see and around the city damn near his whole crew is and has always been Black, he supports black causes in person with presence(Breonna Taylor), and with money to black foundations in the city.

TPAB is not weak, but it is without slaps. So to many people it is boring just like most Cole’s album discography. Same can be said about Big Steppers. Which is my favorite K. Dot joint. Not enough slaps and bops to escape , the biting allegations.
