2028’ Davis Winters has all the tools to impact the game and help his team win. The 6’3 combo guard plays for Western Albemarle High School in Charlottesville, Virginia, and played a key role in their success this season as they advanced to the state semifinals. In his second year as a varsity player, Winters improved just as much physically as he did technically. At 6’3, 180 pounds, he already has a college-ready frame to go along with a quick burst that allows him to cover ground and play with pace. He operates with great feel, consistently getting downhill and touching the paint while staying under control, playing off two feet, and finishing with either hand around the rim, whether in the half court or pushing in transition. Winters possesses one of the smoothest jump shots in the state, with quick, clean mechanics, a high release point, and the ability to get it off in an instant while always staying ready to shoot. Playing alongside talented guards like 2026’ Jack Castner and 2027’ Sam Seaborn, Winters serves as the glue of the lineup, willing to play off the ball, find open teammates, or handle pressure and make the right play. Defensively, he never gives up on a possession, consistently hustling back to block shots or create key deflections that lead to transition opportunities. He also uses his frame well to compete on the defensive glass and secure important rebounds. It’s clear Winters has a natural feel for the game and an innate ability to help teams win. With a big summer ahead on the EYBL circuit with Boo Williams 16U, expect Winters to continue rising toward the top of the 2028 class in Virginia @davis_winters23 @BooWilliamsAAU @Uorangemen2 @jwherron10 @_TomKeller @NorfolkKnights
