Funny enough, I wasn’t even limiting comps to the Big East—they just all ended up there. Best coaching league in the country.

Hearing the players meeting with Coach Nored went extremely well today
By no means does this mean current Butler players are staying. I fully expect there to be plenty of movement in/out of the portal
But certainly sounds like Nored made a great first impression

Ron Nored was a candidate at Iowa last cycle and has interviewed for a handful of high-majors over the last 4-5 years.
No question being tied to the Butler family made him a stronger candidate there, but pretty low to write something like that without the facts.

@ButlerHoopsGal Hurley, Tang or Davis would be better than a MM as they’ve all had some success at the HM level. Davis’ record at UNC would be hailed at 95% of colleges.

I think what’s most frustrating is that we had options this year. A couple successful MM’s with Butler ties (Steele, Groce) and some big names that got let go (Hurley, Tang, now Davis) and we likely didn’t do the national search at all.

NEWS: Brad Stevens—who was atop the list of targets—has already removed himself from consideration for the UNC job, sources told @CBSSports. No surprise of course, but notable all the same as Carolina starts its search to replace Hubert Davis.

St. John’s is looming for 13M next szn
Providence is roughy 12M for next szn
Ik Creighton is up there as well
They need to have around 10M or more to rly pull premier coaching talent

Another thing to consider for the HC search is what else do they bring besides coaching style.
- do they bring players/ recruits from their current school?
- do they bring more NIL money?
- do they have international connections?

@BigYapman75837 I’d say it’s still a premier job. It’s a basketball school with a passionate fan base. Majority of the revenue goes to bball, where as most other schools compete with football.
