You are benefiting from free speech… …while advocating for ideologies that do not permit dissent. You are safe enough to protest… …because the very country you condemn allows you to. That’s the paradox. And it’s not small. It’s foundational. You cannot claim to support human rights… …while aligning yourself with movements that have documented histories of suppressing opposition, limiting freedoms, and using violence as a political tool. You cannot claim moral authority… …while echoing chants calling for the destruction of entire nations. And this is where the political contradiction sharpens. Many of the same voices in American politics who speak endlessly about “protecting democracy”… …remain either silent or selectively outraged when those chants happen here. That silence is not neutral. It signals tolerance of something that directly conflicts with the values they claim to defend. This isn’t about just democrats and liberals. This is about coherence. Either: You believe in the preservation of the system that guarantees rights… Or… You normalize democrat rhetoric that calls for its destruction. You don’t get both. That’s why this hits people so hard.
