1 year of NCAA eligibility left Lead naia in scoring First team all Sun Conference Senior highlights

Charlie Yoder came to New College of Florida to help us build a foundation. Second year program, first year in the NAIA. He took on a leadership role and played a huge part in our success. Led our team to a .500 regular season record and a berth in the Sun Conference Tournament…in our first year. No facilities, hurricanes, you name it. He showed up every day and did everything that was asked of him and more. He led the NAIA in scoring (24.4 PPG) and was a top 50 rebounder in the nation. He also led the country in FTs made. We could go on and on about his stats. Did most of this injured. A competitor any way you look at it. But the best thing about Charlie is that he couldn’t care less about accolades or recognition…he just wants to win. It’s just a part of what makes him special. For him not to be recognized as a top player in the NAIA this season is beyond me, but I’ll forever be grateful for the impact he made on this program and our future success. Any D1 or pro team that wants to win and wants to compete, look no further than Charlie Yoder. Winner on the court and a winner in life.
