There are chiefs, a local government, police stations and a State Governor.
Every single layer of authority that exists to protect people looked this and said nothing because this can't be the first occurrence.
This is not a culture that got out of hand but a system that is working exactly as it was intended to work

This is Abattoir bridge. Before completion, it was a hotspot for robbery and rape. A lot of kekenapeps have been stolen and the owners murdered here. Now, it’s been fixed with adequate lighting and it’s a relaxation spot for people in the area. But the governor is not working.

Stabbings as a result of robberies used to be common on the streets of Jos. The street lights have been a huge deterrent to crime. But, “is it common streetlights we are celebrating?” Let’s be real. The current govt has its faults but is miles ahead of its predecessor.
