Someone will write an interesting book about the Trump 2024 campaign. How it analyzed all the cheating of 2020, prepared for it, prevented it with legal challenges and poll watchers and everything else. Also how the campaign developed a dramatically better ground game. Bringing out the Amish, for instance (which Pressler apparently did) probably really mattered in PA. It’s a huge achievement, this victory. There is no cloud over it like 2016, which to my mind was a miracle. There is no loss of the popular vote or razor thin margins. This was a clear, decisive win. It will be a fun book to read.

Have you known people who more or less decided to drop out of the modern world? There are retired people who go to Alaska and manage camps in winter where people live in fishing season. One guy told me about a job in Colorado as a caretaker in a park. Increasingly appealing.

Introverts don't get lonely. They thrive in the quiet. Rearranging bookshelves. Cooking exotic dishes. Talking to their plants. Reading old messages on repeat. Getting nostalgic at 2 am browsing through gallery. Crying and laughing. Self-sooth, smile, sleep. But lonely? Never.
