On July 13th, after decades of waiting for the chance with Sporadic E, I finally worked my first station from Israel on 144 MHz terrestrial propagation:

It's amazing...yesterday I worked Yuri UT1FG/MM on 2 m via moon from FM75 and the day before from FM52. His signal was around -28 max. It looked stronger but had a lot of drift. Anyway, with his ~200 W out, 1,3 dB cable loss and ~10 dB antenna gain it adds up to some 1500 W ERP.

Getting all my stuff packed for another two weeks at ITU in Geneva from Monday on. Whenever I have time between meetings I'll try to activate 4U1ITU. This is work there, NO dxpedition. So please don't expect too much from my licensed colleagues and me.

Hello Hide san, you have new plans to activate squares in Japan? I hope not between 18 Nov and 28 Nov because I will have to be in Geneva at ITU meetings hi. 73 Bernd

Finally after many attempts I managed to work V51WW on 144 MHz.

Falcon using crossboom for lookout and keeps other birds away. Sadly he had also tried to land on elements and bend them...already corrected. And the falcon now knows M2 elements are not a good landing place.

Just beautiful...I love my 4 x 18 ele M2s.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 The difference in volume which is just one chunk equals the loss of volume in the 3rd row. Look closely and you see that row's chunks are shorter than the others.
