Interesting reframe. In my experience, they grant me permission to assist, yet as her Daddy, I’m also the guide and driver of the experience she craves. A stronger tone, steady rules, and total presence become the safe road on which they can fully surrender. What permission have you been granted lately?

Then the hiss starts. An invasive heat spreads as the diaper swells and sags, almost pushing my hand outward. The last tidy fragment of your adult self cracks and leaks away. I don’t move. Feel how safe that is. Deep breath in. Now type the phrase Daddy wants to see most: “I’m baby.” Say it out loud while you type it. Because you already are.

Shhh, honey. Big babies like you don’t get to stay dry. That thick diaper is there for a reason. Just let go and feel how warm and safe you’ll be. Good girl. 🍼
