Kufuor was not perfect but he remains the standard. If we had leaders like him, we would be well on our way to development. He cut Ghanas poverty level in half. He focused on both social policies that boosted productivity (such as human capital development) as well as pushed market reforms that liberalised the financial market to encourage business and investment. He was pragmatic in his conservatism and did well.
