Alanis Morisette sang it best when she sang "𝐼'𝑚 𝑏𝑟𝑜𝑘𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝐼'𝑚 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑦, 𝐼'𝑚 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑟 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝐼'𝑚 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑑" Anyway, in totally unrelated news I now have a Master's Degree in Media Studies!

Much of the criticism directed at Dubai follows a modern version of the old orientalist mindset described by Edward Said through Orientalism. When success emerges from outside the traditional Western centers of power, it’s often framed as artificial, illegitimate, or morally suspect Dubai disrupts that narrative. In a few decades, a desert trading hub became a global crossroads of aviation, finance, and trade. That shift unsettles people who grew up assuming modernity could only come from London, Paris, or New York So the reaction is predictable: selective outrage, constant moral lecturing, and endless attempts to explain away the success. Sometimes even Muslims in the West end up repeating the same frameworks because they operate inside the same intellectual ecosystem But those days are gone. A state some now call a modern-day Sparta has emerged. The UAE is a better version of Andalus in the sense that it creates a space where over 200 nationalities live, work, and compete under one system People love to hate. the dynasty, the Man, HIM, IT, the persistent winning underdog, the country that punches above its weight. The barking will continue. That’s what dogs do. Meanwhile the ones being barked at are busy building

Indian cinema is one of the most exciting in the world. And, this despite lack of recognition, funds, distribution challenge, and an audience that doesn’t recognise or value art. These are just four representative films from 2022-2025. There are many equally good films!

The funniest thing about this is that the eldest daughter title was started by brown women who wanted to express their resentment toward their parents for making them the 3rd parent to their siblings and forcing them into subservient roles and white women are like I don't get it

If a simple coffee shop has a bot farm with 100s of phones to amplify their message, please consider what a foreign agency or adversarial operator is running on your favorite social media platform. Especially today, please consider that the opinions you read, the calls to violence you hear, and the news you digest, are all an operation done to sow hatred in your mind and your soul. Do not let anyone online turn you into something that you are not. Rationalize everything, take everything with a grain of salt, question everything for yourself, not based on how someone online is questioning it. Turn off all distractions and focus on the mission you have, not the mission of someone trying to control your mind.

My favorite local coffee shop has a bot farm setup in their backroom to boost IG engagement, this is some next-level local marketing 😂
