The reason for the debate around OSAS is because we still don’t understand the biblical concept of covenant and salvation.

Some people here parade themselves as Christians, but they are still the ones that will throw the Christian values out when it’s inconvenient. If you cringe at an expression of Christian values; I think you need to repent and check your heart.

There are “good Muslims” indeed who feel hurt by appropriation of Islam with terrorism but there are loads of Islamic extremists who are terrorist. And these extremists aren’t few, they make up about 15% of the global Islamic population. So let the moderate ones call them out.

Whatever protest is going on in Ajah/Ilaje right now is such an ironic reality. So, these set of people can protest? 😂 😂 Maybe they're showing us how it should be done.

You traveled to UK and US and then suddenly became “intellectual” and threw away “Christ”. You never knew the Christ you claim to know.

@RebekkahbluE @Edenlife9 Whilst no one is condemned here, we believers need to apply scripture not as a tool to fuel our lust, desire and preference but to becoming the image of the Christ. What I'm posting now, does it approve someone else's carnality or does it edify? What's my motive for posting?

@RebekkahbluE @Edenlife9 Also, no one is stopping anyone from "mingling", however, the fruit of it should be repentance and not to seek validation as was my initial post. Now imagine Zaccheaus just saying Jesus visited him and thanking him for coming like as a validation to his "business".

It is good for a pastor to represent hope, kindness, and love. That said, a pastor should also be vocal about Christian doctrine. The family system stipulated in Scripture has not changed: man + wife + children. People (especially influencers) who err in Christian doctrine should be teaching us how to retrace our steps, not how a good pastor was present in the picture of the erred process.

@traceycollins84 @Ebuka_Sage1 I hope you're open-minded enough to hear about your responsibilities as a believer to God's instructions and not just trying to make heaven. This "Cristianity" that tabernacles at Matthew 11-28 but is hard-hearted to verse 29 needs to be addressed.

@Ebuka_Sage1 @DreyNotes No matter how much fear a false teaching puts in people, it is not the gospel. We don’t need to assist God by adding to the gospel. If the apostles did not “allow” other gospels since they would make people behave well, we shouldn’t either.

@traceycollins84 @Ebuka_Sage1 I do not understand how you have read this as saying "Christ didn't die for our sins" to say that this is another gospel. Did the pastor say that your works paid for your righteousness? Believers who cry context but won't be humble enough to understand the context of a preacher.

@Ebuka_Sage1 @DreyNotes 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is the gospel. We have no need to add or remove from the gospel. Paul even warned believers against this. These kinds of teachings may seem like they “keep people in check” but it leads to serious problems. The gospel is enough.

@traceycollins84 You've addressed body, but you believe the spirit going to God isn't true? You can actually really just search through the Bible or ask if there's a place where it's stated or just how we've assumed these things. Same way we've assumed that Elijah went up in chariots of fire😂

@DreyNotes *that verse means the body that makes us indulge in pleasure will return to dust and we will be left to face God in judgment, not that we all will just go back to God in heaven

@traceycollins84 I understand how people can struggle with these clear scriptural explanations especially if it conflicts with our tradition. Does the Matt ref has contextual arguments? Does it use pneuma or psuchē? Give scriptures to back up that spirit & soul will be together with body in hell.

@DreyNotes New bodies will be given after judgement, so the spirit and soul won’t be existing eternally in a different place while your new body stays somewhere else.

@Soulmedika @Colbykayfoster People love to say Jesus associated with sinners but often skip what followed. From the Samaritan woman to Zacchaeus, encounters with Christ led to open confession, repentance, & change. Love that doesn’t transform or confront lust isn’t the love Jesus preached. PS: Not about PJ

He associated with sinners, he did not affirm their lifestyle. Those are two different things, bcs that’s best cliche you all use to counter when people bring up issues about the normal Christian life. You cannot use one event in the Bible or Jesus associating with Sinners to undo other events in the Bible about the conducts of Christians.

Sadly, these are soft launches and methods to make their unbiblical practices mainstream. This is how society shifts, how unpopular practices become generally accepted, it’s a slow and steady process. Do what the society considers wrong, but get popular, especially man of God involved so people can see it’s not really bad to birth kids without Fathers. Her whole write up is literally screaming, “This pastor approves what I did by choosing to birth a baby all by myself”.

@RebekkahbluE @Edenlife9 Jesus’ willingness to mingle with sinners was never an endorsement of sin; it was an invitation to transformation. Scripture consistently records that those encounters led to repentance that was both evident and confessed.

I understand your point. And it does make sense that it looks like the lines are blurred when she shares posts like that. But I have a few questions 1)Is there a perfect Christian? 2) how does her action of having a Child outside a marriage affect the pastor’s anointing to pastor? 3) should he dissociate from her so everyone can know that he doesn’t mingle with ‘sin’ knowing that God is after the very soul of the lost? Because im just wondering if Jesus didn’t mingle with the Samaritan woman. Or if it was done in this social media era.
