@ajshackman For the food dot-probe task similar work was conducted, which showed very good reliability. Opposition to the new anti-obesity drugs (...tides) is well-meant but futile. In 10-15 years, most obese people will be taking them, and obesity will become a thing of the past. Next disease, please.

This afternoon at #ADA2023 I’ll be discussing with @JimJohnsonSci the Carbohydrate Insulin Model (CIM) vs Energy Balance Model (EBM) of Obesity. Jim challenged me to provide an improved name for the EBM which I’ll reveal in this symposium. Hint: the acronym is ENEMY.

@EikoFried Highly interested in this discussion ... I lean towards Moncrieff et al. now (as I still don't see any clear evidence for a serotonin deficit in depressive disorder), but -as we talked about briefly- it is necessary to ready up on primary sources... wish I had time...

@JOMierau Psychologie in Maastricht is maar beperkt gericht op GGZ, klinische psychologie. Dus, voor het werkveld is niet per se Nederlands nodig, en niemand spreekt gebroken/steenkolen Engels bovendien.

Dit geldt voor alle universiteiten. De meeste studenten vertrekken nadien weer uit de regio waar de universiteit staat. Als die regio het drielandenpunt is, dan vertrekken de studenten naar het buitenland. 1/2
