@SherforceHog @MarioNawfal @elonmusk 2 of 2. …volatile things were in the country and she admitted aiming to incite serious violence. Her sentence was 31 months however the judge said she would only serve 40% of that, approx 12mths. Judges aren’t politicians, their job is to safeguard the rule of law.

@SherforceHog @MarioNawfal @elonmusk 1 of 2. It wasn’t her point of view that a judge sent her to jail for. It was the incitement to burn down dwellings where people live. She is a Conservative counsellors wife and pleaded guilty to the charge. Due to her social status and knowledge she was very very aware how volat

🇬🇧UK MUM JAILED OVER SOCIAL MEDIA POST DENIED RELEASE TO SEE SICK HUSBAND & CHILD Lucy Connolly, serving 31 months for posting on X during the UK riots, has been denied temporary release - despite meeting eligibility criteria and having no violent record. Her post, deleted within hours, was branded as inciting violence, but critics say her punishment reflects "two-tier justice" and political pressure. Connolly’s husband is seriously ill, and her 12-year-old daughter is struggling - yet her application is delayed over fears of media backlash. Her appeal is set for May 15, as free speech advocates call the case a chilling precedent. Source: Daily Mail

🚨🇬🇧 CHILDMINDER JAILED FOR INCITING RACIAL HATRED AFTER SOUTHPORT ATTACKS Lucy Connolly, wife of Conservative councillor Raymond Connolly, was sentenced to 31 months in jail for inciting racial hatred online following the Southport knife attacks. She posted on X, calling for hotels housing migrants to be set on fire. Connolly deleted the post, blaming her actions on misinformation and emotional outrage. Her comments sparked widespread violence. The judge condemned her for encouraging life-threatening activity and contributing to racial hatred during a volatile period. Source: Daily Mail

@Sonia_Sparkles I love your work Sonia but I’ve decided to leave Twitter. The CEO in my opinion (look at his own thread) is not a good or genuine leader for a just social platform (polite version). Time to bow out of the decisive hold he has and vote with my fingers. 🩷🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🤍🤎💖 ❤️

‘The brain processes visuals 60,000 times faster than text.’ The quote is from Semetko, H. & Scammell, M. (2012), ‘The SAGE Handbook of Political Communication. 1st ed.’ In a section exploring the biology of brains. Is there newer evidence to support or counter this research?

@GreenRupertRead That said, one thing I did hear; Starmer referring to leading with an empowered team vs Sunak, I, I, I ….. I am afraid though… can what comes next/who comes next lead with the grace, fortitude and honour we need so desperately back in politics (if it was ever there?)…..

@GreenRupertRead I agree, there was a distinctly big elephant that went unnoticed - how the health & happiness of all (individuals, families&communities) lays in the global fabric we all share, the environment. Without addressing our place & how we act in our world was a tsunami of shame

I’m just so completely tired of hearing about ‘growth growth growth’ as the alleged answer to all our troubles. Endless cancerous growth is killing us. #leadersdebate

I can’t even begin to describe what an indictment of the BBC & possibly of the studio audience & also of our civilisation itself it is that this final Prime Ministerial debate, at a moment when the world is reeling from extreme heat 🥵, has seen NO questions on climate & nature.

I had an itch to draw an eye 👁️. No reference image, imagination and all the hours I’ve lost myself looking real close at eyes. I remember reading somewhere if you only draw one eye, you are being introspective…
