Mummy D_square

Mine was past my EDD. At 40+1, I went to the hospital and begged them to induce me because I was TIRED. The nurse said no 😭 Said they’ll decide if I’m truly past my EDD. They sent me back home like I came to play. Monday morning(40+4), I said enough is enough. If I go for antenatal on Tuesday, they must induce me or do CS. I was DONE. I said let me help my body small. I did 50 squats. Then started jogging and jumping around my house😭 From 7am to almost 8am, I no rest. After that, I bathed with warm water. That’s when contractions said “hello” 😭 Not small ones o. SERIOUS ones. My husband quickly dressed me up and rushed me to the hospital. On the way, I was screaming😭 I almost opened the car door😭 Before we even reached the hospital gate… my water BROKE. At that point, I was convinced the baby don come out 😭 They wheeled me inside the delivery room. Omo immediately I entered… MY BABY CAME OUT. The person that wheeled me in was still standing there when the baby arrived 💀 I gave birth few minutes before 9am. From “let me do small exercise” to holding my baby in LESS THAN 2 HOURS 😭 The nurses even nicknamed me “The woman wey shit pikin” 😂💀

I had a change in retrospect yesterday. I think we need people to remind us that "This is who we are" we need people to checkmate us. Going forward, I will dedicate a little piece of my naira to get Blue tick for 2 people who are active on my tweets bi weekly. So a total of 4 persons a month. (2 users with no blue tick, 2 users to renew their blue tick.) I know I have helped more persons privately to do that, which i hatè putting out on the timeline. But public support requires a public show of gratitude. I'm not bouyant enough, but when you're reminded that this is who you are, you will go out of your comfort zone to accept that this is who you are. And the people who you support today are also the people who stickk with you. You don't live for yourself alone, but also, for others.
