Apparently @SendGrid's IP is still getting blocked by email providers. Outlook and Hotmail accounts seem most affected, although there are others.

Update! We found the issue: Our email vendor's IP was blocked by a few services. We think it's fixed now. Please try signing up again and if you're still having trouble, email support@floracodex.com. You can also try adding no-reply@floracodex.com to your safe senders list.

Hello @floracodex users. We're aware some new accounts aren't receiving confirmation emails, preventing login. We're investigating the issue.

@IoMichaelian Thanks for the heads up. We have both GCP and Cloudflare managed certs. It seems the former didn't appreciate the latter proxying DNS. Oh well. And also: We had a clear gap in monitoring. Which is now plugged. Sorry for the disruption folks.

@FloraCodex Cloudflare thinks your server's SSL certificate is no longer valid. Also, thanks for the awesome service.

We noticed more and more of our users were running into our API's aggressive rate limiting cap, so we loosened the reins quite a bit. You now can make 6x more requests a minute than before!

4/ And on top of everything else, we welcomed a new member of the Flora Codex family in mid-January. A chipper, although exhausting addition. Just three months in and he already has a green thumb!

3/ And since data is king, we're also building reports that will allow you to better monitor your app's usage of the API. Finally, an explanation of our hiatus: Our "day job" was acquired by another company. As you can imagine, a fair bit of energy was spent on that transition.

Hello friends. Some announcements: A few minutes ago we released an update to floracodex.com to fix a long-standing bug that prevented new users from generating API tokens. Affected? Give it another go, and us another chance.

Anyone know who these little guys are? Saw them on a bush at the U.S. National Arboretum.

First phase of characteristic/trait data is indexing now, and will continue overnight EST. Already released are changes to the API to accommodate this additional data. Important: /plants/{id} route was updated to match the Trefle response model. This is a breaking change.
