Also just found out it was important for their design to look not connected to any dimension (or, you know, the 3 dimensions known at that time...)
It was also meant to spawn in the End but they cut that bc gameplay reasons. Tho they never mentioned it spawning in the Nether...

@Defnottheonly1 Didn't know about the "not meant to look like they came out of any dimension" thing, could you perhaps find the quote? Because ironically it could back up this theory since the quote would be referring to the 3 known dimensions at the time

Oh, those are statues depicting the Heart of Ender's face... in the Deep Dark... in the Ancient City, no less.
I think I was right about the Ancient City (again somehow).
The Heart of Ender was here and further evidence of that is going to be seen in Minecraft Dungeons 2.

@Marmitex78 Its funny how it was probably scrapped and replaced with just using the map (and having the cooler portal in the merchant cave) and even so, the devs still addressed the situation in a silly way during QnAs

like yea fair, dungeons 1 had a wildly inconsistent art style with abominations like this one but you could mostly ignore those

Personally im not much of a fan of this more painted very flat artstyle of dungeons 2. Dungeons 1 looked more like something you could build in vanilla and that was fun

Last night I made a discovery. I was playing Broken Citadel, with the game music turned off so I could focus on the ambience sounds
Until I realized there is... actual music playing in some parts of the citadel?

@PiGoddessOfBugs I have a headcanon (more of a wish) that after being killed for good in Echoing Void, the guy could have "respawned" back in the Nextworld, but back to factory settings, rebooted to silly happy host.
Then we could have a plot of illagers trying to kidnap it to make Evil Orb 2...

Considering all the Orb's shards were destroyed, I think its safe to assume whatever magic it used on the undead is gone too, apart from it being an event-only thing that for instance doesn't happen in vanila

Actually, those are under the rain.
MCD 2 will have both a day-night cycle and a weather system; which makes sense since its an open-world game.
In all the trailers we got, undead mobs are only seen during the night or under the rain.

It is now confirmed that the undead will continue to be immune to the sun's light in Minecraft Dungeons 2. This would not be the first time that the Orb of Dominance has permanently changed the Overworld... #Minecraft #MinecraftDungeons
