Find a bear roadside in K-Country? • Stay in your vehicle • Slow down. The bear may run or walk onto the road. • Try to stay at least 100 m away • NEVER drive between a mother and her cubs on opposite sides of the road • Don’t stop. No parking on the sides of highways.

We were in the Kananaskis Lakes area yesterday, May 8, and saw many wet avalanches – yet it was overcast and only +6°. They will only become more frequent and bigger with the warming through this weekend.

Saturday, May 4th, is the annual province-wide highway cleanup. Volunteers will be roadside picking up trash. Over 100 FKC volunteers will be cleaning 40 from the TCH to the KLT. Take it slow past the volunteers. Give a honk and wave to say thanks for their work!
