@GamerMeld @AMDGPU_ @harukaze5719 I hate bootlicking companies and all but they literally said a few years ago that releasing a 2 X3D chips would be expensive to make and useless af. Not to mention the performance gains would be very minimal, you guys got what you asked for and are here crying 😭

Welp. I can finally talk about the fact that AMD refused to send me a 9950X3D2. And it looks like quite a few reviewers weren't able to get review units. I guess AMD KNOWS this isn't a great release.

@AMDGPU_ @harukaze5719 But it's on AM5 with dual-channel memory, so it’s inherently constrained for HPC. Yes, there are niche, cache-sensitive workloads where it can perform well but now you're the one doing what you accused me of by saying that I'm just thinking about one segment.

@GamerMeld @harukaze5719 For HPC workloads that can be cache optimized like AI model engineering or advanced light transport modeling/rendering, etc this is a solid alternative to paying thousands of dollars more for the cache per die on a Zen4 pro CPU
