Today, the top 10 companies in the SP500 make up 40% of the index. The 10 companies in this pic made up 44% of the SP500 in 1963, a higher concentration than we have today. Only two of these companies are still as big and relevant today, IBM & GE. The other 8 are not nearly as important as they used to be. None of those companies from the 60s are in today’s top 15…. American Telephone eventually became AT&T, now ranked #64 General Motors is #124 Standard Oil New Jersey became Exxon, now #16 IBM is #46 DuPont is #393 Texaco, Gulf Oil and Standard Oil California are all now part of Chevron who is #26 General Electric is #36 Sears went bankrupt

$META stock has gone nowhere in the last 2 years. $MSFT stock has gone nowhere in the last 3 years. Both missing out on one the largest bull markets ever. At some point...

@Mr_Derivatives I saw this coming several years ago with $MSFT because their valuation was far too high relative to their growth. $META is being punished for their spending. Eventually that will subside and by EOY28 the price should +80% from here, putting them at 25x ltm earnings.
