One mistake I made early in my trading journey was entering every Fair Value Gap I saw.
Over time, I realized that not every FVG deserves an entry.
Now, when I see an FVG, I ask myself:
Has liquidity been taken?
Is there displacement?
Did structure break?
Is the higher timeframe aligned?
If the answer is no, then I wait.
Patience has saved me more money than any strategy ever did.
The market is not paying me to be active.
The market is paying me to be selective.
And that changed everything for me.

One thing I have learned from trading SMC is that liquidity must be taken.
I don't just draw levels and expect price to react immediately. I first ask myself:
"Where is the liquidity?"
Because if liquidity has not been taken, there is a high chance that the market is still interested in going there.
Many traders become frustrated because their analysis is correct, but they enter before the liquidity sweep.
The market takes their stop loss and then moves exactly in their original direction.
That is why I always tell traders:
Don't just study direction.
Study liquidity.
If you don't understand where liquidity is resting, there is a good chance you become the liquidity.

A lot of traders ask me why I post my setups before and after they play out.
The answer is simple.
I genuinely want people to learn.
This setup is a perfect example of why I keep talking about liquidity and patience.
In the first chart, price was dropping aggressively into a level I had already marked out as a key support zone. Most traders see those strong bearish candles and immediately start thinking about selling.
I don't.
The first thing I ask myself is: "What liquidity has been taken?"
Price had already swept liquidity and was approaching an area where I expected buyers to become interested. At that point, I wasn't interested in chasing the sell. I was interested in seeing how price would react after reaching that level.
So I waited.
No panic.
No FOMO.
No guessing.
Just patience.
Then the second chart happened.
Price respected the level, buyers stepped in, and the market reacted exactly from the area I was watching.
This is something many struggling traders overlook.
The goal is not to predict every candle.
The goal is to identify where price is likely to react, wait for liquidity to be taken, and then allow the market to confirm your idea.
Most traders lose money because they enter too early.
They see price moving and want to be involved immediately.
For me, the waiting is the real work.
Drawing levels takes a few minutes.
Entering a trade takes a few seconds.
But waiting for the right confirmation can take hours.
That patience is what separates good trades from random trades.
Study liquidity.
Study reactions at key levels.
And remember, if you don't allow liquidity to be taken, there is a good chance you become the liquidity.
Just my thoughts.
