I have to say, despite being unbanned for the error, I think the way Discord has handled this whole wrongful ban thing has been absolute chaos. I got an apology on Monday and was unbanned, but in my account standing I still see the ban as active? What?? @discord_support #Discord

@Veliora13 @kaitlovescake Very unlikely and probably no, and the ai does tend to auto decline appeals after deadline no matter what (atleast from what I’ve seen)

@kaitlovescake Does anyone review these appeals manually, or is it all auto denied after the deadline regardless of what actually happened?

There’s currently a vulnerability in Discord’s AI moderation that detects any and all square grid images, such as spreadsheets, chessboards, Minecraft inventories, white & gray transparent backgrounds… as CSAM and will permanently ban your account. To keep your account safe, I would recommend NOT sending any sort of images anywhere until this vulnerability is fixed. If you are a server owner or admin, I would highly recommend to disable all image and gif/embed perms in your server for the time being. To @discord @discord_support, this vulnerability needs to be fixed immediately with all false bans overturned. Additionally, AI moderation needs to be scrapped and replaced with humans. This is exactly why companies shouldn’t be using clankers to decide whether accounts should be banned or not. Losing a Discord account to something as unfair as this can be extremely devastating and affect users severely, and every day millions of users are affected by false AI bans. This needs to be stopped. If you would like to spread awareness about this, feel free to like & repost.

@corey_1up The ai was trained on grids to detect CSAM, but it went haywire so any grid looking thing’ll get you a ban for ‘violating child safety’; be careful and if you do get banned, I hope ya get your account back quicker than quite a bit of us

Someone tell me how people are getting banned from Discord for like,, GRID Patterns or whatever. HOW?

My account is still banned on Discord, since Thursday afternoon. Pretty sure I get swept in the grid fiasco, and I'm glad some people are getting it back, but it makes me nervous. Had it for ten years and posting this gets it perma'd? Haven't received a rejection yet, but still.

I think I deadass got banned way too early for discord to care about my appeals/review, a day after I got banned, ppl have been getting unbanned in 4-5 hours, it's been nearly 4 days since my ban and I've only gotten an automated reply.. gg for me?

@https_terabyte @GWEOfficialNews To answer your question, mate, the ai was trained to detect CSAM via grids; a programmer seemingly panicked and made the ai go haywire or smth, and now anything with an even slighty grid-looking image/screenshot gets counted as CSAM and an immediate suspension
