@BlastoiseBaller Check in Thursday, day 1 is almost identical to a day 1 at a regional just on Friday (there is usually an opening ceremony before round 1), phase 2 Saturday + everything up to finals for all age divisions. Championship Sunday is all of Sunday.

IC veterans, please explain: how does starting competition on Friday work? When is phase 2 then, Saturday? And Sunday is just for extra big finals? Are there side events all three days in case I flame out early? Signed, Guy who's got to get that Blastoise swag no matter what

@bndg33k77 @PokeDuelsTikTok No, it does not only apply to “BO1 top cuts.” Section 5.5.2. Single-elimination structure is exactly what a standard top cut is regardless of the number of individual games in a match.

@PokeDuelsTikTok This rule change only applies to cups with Bo1 top cuts. Every cup I’ve played in the past three years has been Bo1 during swiss rounds, followed by a Bo3 top cut. Philosophically I agree that IDs in small tournaments are bad for the game. Rounds 4+ should have consequence.

the rule change of the higher seed in Top Cut choosing 1st/2nd might've indirectly solved the ID issue at League Cups i hate seeing people go 3-0 and then double ID into Cut. opting out of playing 40% of the tournament is ridiculous.

Ended 8-3-1 after a 3-0 start in Day 2, I got Festival Lead out of the tournament. This list is bad and has some room for improvement without a doubt.
