As a trial lawyer for 45+ years, I always sought to be a professional, not a businessman. I could not be bought. I did not love money enough to sell my professionalism. I did not lie, cheat, or steal. I was pierced to my core when Federal District Court Judge Michael Brown stated publicly in open court in my second freemason tribunal that he believed I was “a dishonest man.” I took the stand again just to look him in the eye and tell him he was WRONG about me. He accused me without cause. I still pray for Judge Brown every day by name. Over the years, I won many cases. I lost a few too!!! Win or lose, I always maintained my integrity. I was a miserable sinner in my personal life (I am still a sinner in need of forgiveness every day). I still have thorns in my side. Yet, I maintain my integrity as a former lawyer and as a person. I was blessed to represent some very fine clients over the years whose causes I thought were just. I gave them my best as a lawyer. I now know that I gave my best to some clients that I later learned had deceived me. Steve Wynn is ONE client who comes to mind. There were others. We live in a world of deception. Throughout my law career, if I learned that my clients had deceived me during the representation, I withdrew as their counsel. I remember well many years ago that I had what I thought was a solid medical malpractice case for a husband and his wife. A winner in my opinion. As I prepared the husband for his deposition, he admitted to me that he was an active member of the Klu Klux Klan (KKK). I informed him that I was going to have to promptly withdraw from representing him. I did. I do not relate these stories to you to boast or glorify myself. It is never about me. It is always about God. So I praise Jesus Christ and give Him ALL the credit. I had to live in order to learn. Jesus Christ was with me from the beginning. He knew me. In August of 2018, I got to know Him. I knew at that time that whatever I had accomplished in my life in earth was not about me. He planned it ALL. It was always about Him. The FREE gift of salvation. He changed my life in the flesh and my eternal life. I became a new creation in August of 2018. I praise Him and thank Him every day for His free gift to me. I ask Him every day to forgive me of my sins. So throughout all of the trials, tribulations, wins and losses, and persecution I have experienced since 2018, I rejoice and PRESS ON.
