@Roblox @DavidBaszucki Roblox is about to lock small developers out of discovery. This new under-16 access update is not just “safety.” It is a massive gatekeep against the exact creators Roblox was built by. Starting in June, games shown to users under 16 need to pass Roblox’s new selection process. That includes ID verification, 2FA, an active Roblox Plus subscription, content checks, and Roblox watching how 16+ users interact with the game. So let’s be real. How is a brand new developer with no budget, no audience, no ads, and no 16+ playerbase supposed to get discovered? Roblox keeps saying they care about creators, but updates like this make the platform feel more and more like it only rewards big studios, paid ads, and people who already made it. Every big Roblox developer started small. Failed games. No money. No audience. Random experiments. That path is being crushed. Safety matters, but burying small developers is not safety. Roblox telling developers they need 500 highly engaged users before their game can grow is like telling a startup they need customers before they can advertise. Changes like this only make it harder for small developers to succeed on the platform.

Starting in June 2026, Roblox will be introducing two new types of accounts: Roblox Kids for users ages 5 to 8 and Roblox Select for users ages 9 to 15. Each account type will have limited access to certain features for safety.

@ValraSwag its actually so tonedeaf its ridiculous
