Now the loan quality goes from a credit tenant rating (usually AAA+) to ??? I always felt queazy about so-called “credit tenant” loans getting such unrealistically high ratings (e.g., Bed, Bath & Beyond, Macy’s, etc.), and made some CMBS folks feel very uncomfortable with my comments.

CMBS loan at 425 Eye St. NW Washington D.C. hits special servicing after the Department of Veterans Affairs doesn't renew 241,000 square foot lease. Sold for $157M in 2018.
