We still have concerns over how much higher ed money will be shifted into School Aid to free up general fund dollars for other purposes.

Conference committee expected yet this evening. With votes to follow. Senate still has the revenue and roads bills before it to vote on.

We are working on more details but other school funding should be fine because it is paid ahead. Fed free and reduced lunch has funding to last 2-3 months. SNAP/bridge cards has funding to cover 1 month. Hopefully shutdown doesn’t last longer than that.

Fed government shut down at midnight. Head start programs that receive funding Oct 1 are immediately impacted and Impact Aid that replaces federal funding due from federal tax exempt lands will also be stopped quickly.
