@GGuyIncognito @wwarrior_1 I was about to bring up Humankind. I dont think the concept in itself is bad. But the way it is handled baffles me a bit.

@wwarrior_1 I could understand if you start off as the Gauls and eventually go to Franks then the French as time goes on but the way they handled it made absolutely no sense. The exact same problem Humankind had

if you didn't know, the main gimmick of the 7th game was that you would change civilizations per new "age". so if, for example if you started as french in antiquity and the age shifts to exploration, you are REQUIRED BY THE GAME MECHANICS to change to another civilization. it was a baffling decision because one of the draws of Civ is bringing your chosen civilization to victory from mud huts to space. glad that they did say "we got it wrong"
