This is really a stunning paper. Cyanobacteria exposed to shorter days (in the lab) "rewire" their membrane lipids to anticipate cold weather. When those cells are plunged into cold water, they have "two or three-times higher survival" than cells exposed to longer days.

I am very excited to announce that I have accepted an NIH IRTA postbac position with the #WeinsteinLab @NICHD_NIH! I will be working with @LJGreenspan on cutaneous injury and regeneration in zebrafish. I am looking forward to this next chapter in my scientific career!
