Why in the world would the US spend 200B on a rail system when we adopted the highway system instead? We are NOT Europe, we choose to support one of our largest domestically produced goods (the automobile), build highways to and create suburbs over building public rail systems. If you want to ride on trains instead of owning a car MOVE TO EUROPE! Economically this makes absolutely ZERO sense!
